IIC will moderate three “Industry Insights” panels at the upcoming Irrigation Association Trade Show and Education Week in Las Vegas, NV.

Irrigation's role in sustaining value and mitigating risk

The speakers will discuss Federal and other regulations and other factors including water resource declines that are changing lender and investor perspectives, programs, and actions related to irrigation, and questions they have for the industry in terms of moving forward as effectively as possible for businesses, communities, irrigation users, the environment, and society. 1:45-2:15 pm PT on Tuesday, December 6

Irrigation management training program impacts: High Plains and Delta regions

This session will cover key observations, outcomes, and impacts from three innovative programs- Testing Ag Performance Solutions, Master Irrigator, and Irrigation Schools/Most Crop per Drop context- that are equipping producers in the High Plains and Delta regions of the U.S. with the knowledge, connections, and skills they need to make changes on their operations to update and improve their irrigation systems and management and achieve conservation, productivity, and profitability goals. 2:30-3:30 pm PT on Tuesday, December 6

Nebraska’s water balance story: A microcosm for advancing water management

This session will feature insights from five Nebraska-based IIC supported research projects and opportunities to support irrigators in accurately estimating crop water needs and acting on this data. Leading innovative Nebraska producer Roric Paulman will relate his experience in making his operation a “smart farm” equipped with high-speed internet and cutting-edge sensors for precision application and management of inputs and efforts to improve soil health, carbon sequestration, water quality and more. 1:30-2:30 pm PT on Thursday, December 8
